The Drive
Getting Here From Manteca and the CA-120 Corridor
From Manteca, the route is simple: take CA-99 south, pass Ripon and Salida, and follow the downtown exits in Modesto to H Street. Manteca sits where CA-120 meets CA-99, so it is also the gateway for patients driving in from Lathrop, Tracy and Escalon.

From Ripon, Lathrop, Tracy and Escalon
- Ripon is on CA-99 between Manteca and Modesto, so your drive is shorter than the Manteca figure.
- Lathrop patients usually join CA-120 or CA-99 near Manteca, then continue south.
- Tracy patients typically take I-205 and CA-120 east to Manteca, then CA-99 south. Plan for noticeably more time than from Manteca itself.
- Escalon patients can come in on local routes toward Modesto; a map app will pick the fastest way for the time of day.

What to Look for When Choosing HBOT Near Manteca
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is also available in Manteca itself. We think patients should compare options carefully, and we encourage you to ask every center, including ours, the same questions:
- Does a physician assess me before I start? A physician should review your history, medications and ear and lung health, and decide whether HBOT is appropriate for you.
- What kind of chamber is it, and what pressure will I be treated at? The Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) defines HBOT as breathing near-100% oxygen in a chamber at 1.4 atmospheres absolute (ATA) or more, and every UHMS-recognized indication calls for 2.0 ATA or higher. Soft-sided "mild" chambers typically run at about 1.3 ATA on air, which does not meet that definition. Learn more about treatment pressure and chamber type.
- Which conditions do you treat, and on what evidence? Look for a center that is clear about which uses are FDA-cleared indications and which are still being researched.
- Will you keep my own doctors informed? Ask how your assessment and progress are shared with the clinicians who already treat you.
- What safety standards apply? Medical hyperbaric chambers fall under recognized codes, including NFPA 99 for the facility and ASME PVHO-1 for the pressure vessel.
- What will the full course cost? Ask for pricing on the whole physician-recommended course, not just one session.

Why Manteca Patients Drive to a Physician-Directed Center
A 20-minute drive is a small trade for knowing exactly how your care is delivered. At Generations Wellness, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is built around three things:
- Hard-shell monoplace chambers. Single-person, rigid chambers where you breathe medical-grade oxygen at a physician-prescribed pressure.
- A physician assessment for every patient. It is mandatory, not optional, and it comes before any session.
- Care directed by Dr. Rajwinder Singh Bahia, MD. Your plan, and any changes to it, are made under physician direction.
Before You Come
Planning Your Visit From Manteca
For the conditions HBOT is cleared for, a physician commonly recommends 20 to 40 sessions, usually one each weekday. Each session runs about 90 to 120 minutes including pressurization and depressurization. With about 40 minutes of round-trip driving from Manteca off-peak, most patients can plan on two and a half to three hours per treatment day. From Tracy, allow more.

Is there a hyperbaric chamber in Manteca?
Yes, HBOT is available in the Manteca area. Generations Wellness is a physician-directed option in downtown Modesto, about 21 minutes south off-peak. Wherever you go, ask about physician assessment, treatment pressure and coordination with your doctors.
Will Kaiser Manteca cover HBOT at your center?
We currently offer HBOT on a self-pay basis and do not bill Kaiser or other insurance. Kaiser members usually receive specialty care within Kaiser, so ask your Kaiser team first; we are happy to explain your options honestly.
How long is the drive from Tracy?
Longer than from Manteca, since most routes use I-205 and CA-120 to reach CA-99 first. Check a map app at your usual travel time, and talk with us about a consistent daily slot.
Can my Manteca Wound Center clinician stay involved?
Yes. With your permission, we share your assessment and progress with your wound care team, so HBOT fits alongside the care they provide.
What pressure should a medical hyperbaric chamber reach?
The UHMS definition of HBOT starts at 1.4 ATA, and its recognized indications use 2.0 ATA or more. Your physician prescribes the pressure for your plan.
